As well as buying a poppy there are many other ways how people can help the Royal British Legion raise vital funds to support the Armed Forces community.
In 2021 the Royal British Legion (RBL) are marking 100 years since the nation’s collective Remembrance traditions were first brought together.
The poppy, two-minute silence, Armistice Day, the service for the Unknown Warrior, and the march-past at the Cenotaph are traditions that millions participate in every year.
One of the easiest ways to donate is by phone.
To donate £2 text POPPY2 to 70545*
To donate £5 text POPPY5 to 70545*
To donate £10 text POPPY10 to 70545*
*Texts cost £2, £5, or £10 plus one standard network rate message (typically 97% of the donation amount goes to the Royal British Legion).
RBL will contact you by text on the mobile number you used to allow you to let us know how you would like to be contacted in the future and to find out whether you would like to add Gift Aid to your donation.

The trend seems to be people making their own ever more elaborate displays that provide £0 for the poppy appeal.
All about being seen to be doing something more conspicious than anyone else rather than actually helping veterans.
